A sunny day at Deansgate Locks.

I woke up this morning to a blazing blue sky, stunning !

I decided to get up early and go into Uni to borrow a D90 and a couple of lenses for the day with the intention of further exploring Deansgate Locks and I had only seen a small bit last night and that was in the dark.

The weather was perfect.

I did a circular walk round the Locks and ended up right back where I had started which was very convenient.

I then rushed back to Uni for my afternoon lecture and then after some concrete mixing in the studio, (this is not a technical photography term) I went back to the locks to capture what looked like a very promising sunset. It didn't materialise but still got a few good shots anyway.

Here is a small selection from today's shoot.

Equipment used:-

  • Nikon D90
  • 17-70mm f2.8
  • 18-105mm f4.5
  • Sandisk 4gb SD card.
